Alright some comments are a bit out of hand. I’m not going to possibly know everything first watch. If you have information about the story please inform me down below but some of you are extremely rude and harsh in your “know it all” attitude. I was so excited to share this reaction with you guys but seeing some of these comments are really disappointing.
Not the last scene of mv side b showing us that even years later if we decide to come back to our kpop groups they will be right there, ready to comfort us?
I was curious after watching the MVs on who played Heesoo and when I looked up the name in the credits, it was Park Jihu, who also played Onjo in All of Us Are Dead on Netflix! When I rewatch it now I can tell it's her but I would have never guessed if I didn't look it up

I just listened to OMG and did NOT like it. I love the rest of their songs though. 🙂 Didn't even get through the while video. Will try again tomorrow. I like Ditto. Very catchy, but I have NO idea what's going on.
aspect ratio is key in this MV: 18:9 is reality, 16:9 is Heesoo's illusion, 4:3 is a mixed (like she's being pulled back and forth between living a full real life and giving up life to just lock herself in the delusion with her imaginary friends)
How I view the MV's story.
part A (initial phase): Heeseo (represents the victim) has a cast in her hand and is sad. She suddenly meets 5 girls who dance and sing and makes her happy. But later in the video we find out that she met them only in her imagination.
part B (realization): When Heeseo is forced to react to a real-life situation, she realizes that her imaginary friends are unable to help her, instead they keep on dancing and singing despite her sadness later. At She finally decides to end this one-directional imaginary relationship. This is symbolized by her throwing off her camera. Initially this decision makes her feel sad and lonely, but soon she can make real life friends.
Ok so there a dark theory to the mv and the dark theory to the mv is that they were all in a car accident that they hit a dear while driving and that she was the only one that survived that why she has a cast on her harm and why she’s the only one that can see them when she looks into the camera and she didn’t paint her finger pink she painted one of the members finger pink so when she wakes up and it her finger that painted pink and not the members is because they were never there she did everything by herself so when she meets the boy it like him helping her get better like she’s stuck in the past blaming herself or she fells resentful that she’s the only one that survived the accident that why in video A it her point of view it her staying in the past were they are alive and in video B it her leaving her past that why you see her leaving whit the umbrella by herself and not the members and the reason she broke the camera is for her to not live in the past like moving on because she could only see them when looking true the camera that why at the end of video A you see the dear and in video B you see the dear leaving and her leaving whit the boy it like saying that she left the past in the past like she doesn’t blame herself or resent herself no more like the whole tow video’s was her dealing whit the grief of her friend passing away yea so that the dark theory of the mv. It hasn’t been confirmed that this is the concept or the story line to the mv but it a theory. Love your video so much ❤

I think that the deer was symbolization of the girl who imagined new jeans. Firstly, when you look back at the clip of the deer and the girl in the snow, I think that shows the girl being alone, because in the clip the deer had no friends or family visible, which showed the deer being lonely which is what I guess the girl felt.

for me the meaning to this m/v is that new jeans is telling us to live your life and not to take thing in life granted

The MV probably says that the girl who didn't show her face is a fan of New jeans and has been idolater ?But just something like that.
Then later on , when she suddenly came back to reality, she fell in love with that boy and paid less attention to New Jeans. The part about wiping off the drawing's feet (in the side a) was to hope that fans would not leave them in the rain and she did not hold an umbrella because when idols encountered bad things, fans also took responsibility for girls. She was keep recording New jeans is like fans recording their idols shining moments with their phones.
These are my thoughts, but Im not sure what does deer stand for..

There are multiple theories about this actually though none are confirmed, I have one theory that I liked and makes much more sense.
It’s about a relationship towards an idol and a fan, it’s somehow like we only see our idols on screen that is why she always uses her camera. The 6th girl is lonely and doesn’t really have any friends at all, she imagined being friends with her idols despite not knowing them personally, Some people tend to imagine that they’re friends with their idols and if the 6th girl is one of them, She was lonely and her source of happiness was her idols, you see how other people looked at her weirdly? It’s like us kpop stans, Other people won’t understand how much they bring us joy. She isn’t really lonely as she thought she was, as the boy in the MV was eyeing her probably wanting to befriend her. Once the girl realizes that being a fan has limits and she realizes that, Our idols may seem close to us but they don’t know us, they don’t know if we exist. The 6th girl then destroyed her camera, realizing she has to move on and not just rely on her idols for her source of happiness. As she grows older, she plays those footage getting flashbacks. It’s like a story about the gap between an idol and a fan
from what i understand the song impacts to all kpop fans here is my theory
theory:
The girl who was filming symbolizes kpop fan, new jeans symbolize the idols and the guy symbolizes reality. hee soo in my opinion looks like she is sad or not showing emotions that much. but when she is with new jeans she became happy like she tends to show emotions when she is with them. but by the end of side A she was now realizing that they are just an imagination. by side b we can see that hee soo is avoiding the guy(reality) so by theory she is trying to avoid reality, we can also see that she is letting new jeans go by breaking the camera( the camera symbolizes our phones, tv, pc, or any gadgets because that's where we can watch our idols through the screen) so she can move on with her life we can also see that she was with her love interest the guy, which means she is now accepting reality by letting go new jeans.
in short for the fans:
it's fine to escape reality sometimes by using kpop but don't get too attached where to the point that saying "kpop saved you life" is true, because it's not. we don't know our idols when the camera is off, we have our own lives to solve and they have theirs, we need to face our problems in times to avoid worse problems.

The girl holding the camera is Korean actor Park Ji-hoo. She is the female lead in the Netflix drama ‘All of Us Are Dead’.
My theory on this is heeseo (the girl who they never showed her face) was imagining the girls because of some trauma or her having them as imaginary friends since she was young
the way i interpreted it, the lone girl + newjeans were classmates. newjeans + lone girl were always seen practicing dance, with lone girl always recording them.. maybe she was something like a manager for their little "idol group" in school. newjeans is seen "making" their choreo while they're recording practice videos. they were best friends.
there was an accident come winter time. lone girl is the only one to make it out alive, which is what her cast is for. all of newjeans unfortunately didn't make it. she sees the deer as a reminder of newjeans, who are watching over her, and as a reminder of the accident. lone girl, in her survivors guilt and depression, begins to have delusions of her best friends surviving the accident, continuing on like nothing had happened. everyone else at school is aware of the accident, and can't bring themselves to even talk to lone girl, for how could they begin to comfort her or help her realize that she's not living in reality? the only one who sees her, and keeps an eye on her, is the boy she always records. more on him later.
heesoo (lone girl) walks through rain, with her umbrella, with newjeans. perhaps her survivor's guilt tells her, "you should bare this pain and this hardship alone", but with newjeans with her, she's never alone. however, delusions don't hold up to reality. she wakes up, after a day with newjeans, with them not there. nothing on her cast, because they've died. she was in denial.
when she wakes up, and only her pinky is painted instead of minji's, she realizes all of this. and she moves on to anger. which is why she rejects newjeans, doesn't walk in the rain with them, ignores minji's phone call. she's angry and accepting that she is alone, and has moved on to believe her friends have left her.
in her delusional state, the camera was her best friend. it held her best friends, so she carried it with her everywhere. once she's woken up, she uses the camera one last time, to check if the boy who's always watching her, is in fact real. not just in real life, but in her camera too. once she sees that he's tangible, she goes up to the roof and severs her final connection to newjeans. this boy helps her to move on, and remain in reality. this is the last time heesoo see the deer, and newjeans.
she moves away, but ends up moving back home, and having spent the duration of the time in between moving on, looks back on her old videos one last time. she's moved on to acceptance, and realizes newjeans never left her, but instead were taken away. she's let go of the blame of the accident, onto herself and onto newjeans, and welcomes them back into her life once again warmly. fondly reminiscing on the times they were in school, dreaming of being performers one day.
i thought it was a beautiful representation of going through the stages of grief.

You said 'Cookie' was the title track but it was ONE of the title tracks. There were 3 title tracks altogether which were Attention, Hype Boy and Cookie with Hurt being the only bside. Cookie was just the single that came out at the same time as the digital release of the album.
Besides the MVs, I got goosebumps as the knetizen found out that if you search “ban hee soo” in YouTube, there is channel named after it, and there are a few videos of the girls, and the title of the videos start with “1998…”. It gave a creepy vibe, but I’m looking forward to see more!!! It is just so GOOOODDDDDDDD
My Theory
so its like Heesoo is stuck in a time loop that repeats her memories in the footage + the title is “ditto” it means repeating something, so there was an accident n Heesoo is the only one who survived so she lived with the trauma n repeated her memories abt the girls but then the guy helped her to escape that time loop n she forgot abt the girls but once she remembered them she got stuck in the time loop again, plus we can clearly see that it is heesoo with the girls in the class them dancing, the rain scene with only Heesoo having an umbrella, the party scene, just that there is no other shots why? bc Heesoo only remember those memories so that’s why we saw so many vers of the same scene, like the rain scene has two vers one abt Heesoo not using the umbrella n go with the girls the other is when Heesoo ignores the girls n go with the umbrella (when she realized that repeating her memories won’t bring them back) + the nail scene… the girls didn’t paint it actually Heesoo was the one who painted that nail n the other nails painted them that’s why the nail that Heesoo painted didn’t disappear + The deer is a symbol of regeneration + the one who called Heesoo in the phone was Minji.
